Ashland Kentucky Pride Meeting Minutes
Sunday, December 7, 2025
Call to Order
A public meeting of Ashland Kentucky Pride was held on December 7th, 2025 at the Ashland Branch of the Boyd Co Public Library. It began at 1:38 pm and was presided over by Holly Blevins with Jenee Kesling as secretary.

Quorum: Yes General Members: 6
Approval of minutes
Holly made a motion to accept the meeting minutes for the month of November. Taylor seconded. Motion approved.
Treasurer's Report
Holly made a motion to receive the treasurer’s report for the month of November. Taylor seconded. Motion approved.
Paypal: $202.67 People’s: $5894.22
Special Items
Board vote on election/fiscal year
On 11/7/25 a vote was held to move the annual elections to June. This will shift the financial year to begin July 1st

Hollyn would like to request a budget of $30/mo for printing costs
Holly made a motion for a budget of $30/mo for printing costs, Sean seconded. Motion approved.
Someone needs to contact YMA businesses about distribution

Collecting info and pics from previous picnics
Later we can make pages for other recurring events
Possibly set up a blog function to do post-event write ups

A Very Draggy Christmas
Moved away from the name. It's now Holiday Ball and Toy Drive
Sean has a proposal from Battle Tested for security for event after the online backlash about Drags Giving
$850, Pride would pay half, AFA would front the other half
Sean made a motion to pay Battle Tested $425 for half of the security costs. Lu seconded. Motion approved.
Sean asked that we take 200 today as a retainer to keep us on the schedule. It was agreed on and Taylor is making the payment
Need to borrow canopies to set up outdoor space
$20 entry fee; Donations for children/teens to be entered in a raffle
AFA making a gift basket for Ugly Christmas Sweater contest
Pride needs to make a gift basket for the raffle
Sean is asking for us to contact yma businesses for donations to make gift basket
Taylor asked if there will be space to set up a vendor table, Sean will check

Jenee will work with Heather to get this set up
New Business
Committee Reports
Jenee presented the new committee report. These reports will help save time during general meetings.
Each committee should have one person designated to submit report each month
Should be submitted at least 10 days before the next meeting
Committee reports will be posted with previous month’s minutes
AFA would like to sign up for Safe Zone training
Sean will work with Holly on a good date

Holly made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 2:23 pm. Sean seconded. Motion approved.
