Ashland Kentucky Pride Meeting Minutes

Attending: Holly (she/her), Desire’ (she/her), Lu (she/her), Sean (he/him),

Absent: Elliot (he/they), Kasheena (she/her), Lossy (she/they), Sophie (they/them ,she/her)

The meeting was called to order by Holly (President) at 1:45pm.

Holly made a motion to accept the meeting minutes for the February meeting. Lu seconded the motion. Motion approved.

Holly made a motion to receive the treasurer’s report for the month of February. Lu seconded. Motion approved.

Treasure’s report: Paypal: $1,604.58 • People’s: $4,0000+ (estimate, still having trouble accessing account)

Sean made a motion to accept verbal update in lieu of treasury report. Holly seconded. Motion approved.

Need to find new media coordinator.

Old Business

Y’all Means All 2024
- Possible social media relaunch
- Reintroduce the program with tweeks
- Possible mixer for all businesses to come out and network, sign, get stickers
- Table at pride picnic
- Zine version of safe zone training to give out; schedule safe zone training
- Update sticker to include QR code to get to list of businesses
Safe Zone Training 2024
- Need more trainers
- Presechule public trainings
  - Library or zoom
  - Open to public and yall means all businesses
Book Club
- Mainly online, looking for more members
- Pride book festival, similar to Henlo press event only for queer authors/content
Bank account
- Suppose to be mailing findings to Holly
- Des is going to call back and check in
Mural
- Get sponsorship requests launched to local businesses within the next week
- Reach out to KDMC, Amazon, and possibly national businesses
- Cost about $2,000; already have about $500 from donations
- Tent with drinks and snacks
- Invite local media
- Contact Mike from the city about blocking off a chunk of the parking lot
- Contact Josh about the lift
- Contact Madaline about what she needs from us (shopping list) and get supplies
  - Need someone for this role
  - Ask AFC to come to April meeting
Pride Picnic
- Sponsorship levels and rolling out requests
- Deligating and assigning sub committee heads soon
- Possibly reach out to Pikeville pride to see how they are so successful and how they get great sponorship
- Vendors - give out packets with map and wrist bands
  - Possibly meeting the day before to give packets and gather donated items
